Get started

Getting started

This chapter explains how to open an account, create your workspace and prepare it for prospecting. The setup assistant guides you through five steps. The "Get started" list on the dashboard tracks your progress.

Create an account

Sign-up is open. Any company can create an account from the "Create an account" page. If you received an invitation by e-mail, use the link in the invitation.

Maya Reach is for businesses only.

  1. Open the "Create an account" page, or the invitation link.
  2. Enter your "Name", your "Email address" and a "Password" of at least 12 characters. If you come from an invitation, the e-mail address is locked: it must match the invitation.
  3. Enter the "Workspace name": the name of your company or your team.
  4. Tick "I accept the terms of sale and the terms of use". The links open the terms of sale (CGV) and the terms of use (CGU). Without this box, the account is not created.
  5. Click "Create my account".
  6. Open the confirmation e-mail and click the link. The screen shows "Address verified".

If you do not receive the e-mail, click "Resend the link".

The platform records the date of your acceptance and the version of the terms you accepted (version of 26 October 2026). This also applies to an invited person.

Possible messages:

  • "You must accept the terms of sale and the terms of use to create an account.": the box is not ticked.
  • "The terms of sale and terms of use have changed — reload the page and accept the new version.": the terms were updated while the page was open.
  • "Invalid invitation": the link has expired or has already been used. Ask your administrator for a new one.
  • "An invitation is required" or "Registration closed": the platform has temporarily restricted or closed sign-up.

The legal pages are public: legal notice, terms of sale (CGV), terms of use (CGU), data processing agreement (DPA) and privacy policy.

Create the workspace

A workspace holds your prospects, your Targets, your campaigns and your credits. The data of one workspace is never visible from another workspace.

The workspace is created with the name entered at sign-up. If this name was not kept, the "Name your workspace" screen asks for it again (1 to 120 characters).

Approval by the Maya Reach team. A workspace created without an invitation must be approved by the Maya Reach team before use. The "Your workspace is awaiting approval" screen is shown. You have nothing to do. Come back later and click "Check again".

An invited person does not wait: the invitation counts as approval.

The 7-day trial counts from the creation of the workspace. The time spent waiting for approval is included in these 7 days.

You can create other workspaces later with "Create a workspace", in the workspace menu. See Account and team.

The five-step setup assistant

The "Setup assistant" prepares your workspace in five steps. It is on the "Onboarding" screen. You can stop and pick up where you left off.

Step 1 — "Your business"

  1. Enter the address of your website.
  2. Add a sentence about your business if you wish.
  3. Click "Analyze my website". The platform reads your website and prepares a description of your business.
  4. If you prefer, click "I'd rather describe it myself".

Step 2 — "What we understood"

  1. Review the "Business description", the "Value proposition", the "Brand voice" and the "Tone".
  2. Correct what does not suit you.
  3. Click "Confirm my profile".

This business profile is used for all texts written on your behalf: messages, posts, replies. You can edit it later on the "Onboarding" screen or in "Workspace settings", "Company" section.

Step 3 — "Who do you sell to?"

  1. The platform proposes Targets based on your profile. Click a Target to create it.
  2. Click "Suggest a search". The platform proposes job titles and keywords based on the Target. This suggestion costs 0 credits.
  3. Adjust the job titles and keywords, then click "Save the search".
  4. If you wish, click "Set up Autopilot" to qualify new prospects every night. The screen shows the cost of one evaluation. See Autopilot.

With a standard LinkedIn account, LinkedIn returns nothing beyond three job titles joined by "or". The job title and the keywords are combined with "and". With Sales Navigator, there is no such limit.

Nothing runs before LinkedIn is connected, at the last step.

Step 4 — "First campaign"

  1. Click "Create my campaign". The campaign wizard opens, with the Target from step 3 already chosen.
  2. Follow its six steps: goal and name, Target, prospects, sequence (Maya drafts the instructions, you review them), pace and approval, summary.
  3. Keep the campaign as a draft if LinkedIn is not connected yet: activation needs a connected LinkedIn account.

If a campaign already exists, the step shows it with "Finish the setup" (draft) or "Open the campaign". "Later" moves to the next step without creating a campaign. Nothing is sent until the campaign is activated. See Campaigns.

Step 5 — "Connect LinkedIn"

  1. Click "Connect LinkedIn". A secure login window opens in a new tab.
  2. Connect your LinkedIn account in this window.
  3. Come back to the platform. The screen shows "LinkedIn is connected". If it does not, click "Check again".
  4. If you wish, click "Turn on the daily watch". The screen shows the maximum cost per day.
  5. Click "Finish setup".

The "Everything is set up" screen then offers "See the Target", "See the campaign" and "See the prospects".

The "Get started" list

The "Dashboard" shows the "Get started" list. It has eight steps:

  1. "Workspace created"
  2. "Business profile filled in"
  3. "Plan chosen"
  4. "LinkedIn connected"
  5. "Target defined"
  6. "First prospects added"
  7. "Launch your first campaign": ticked as soon as a campaign of the workspace has been activated. It stays ticked if the campaign is later paused or stopped. The "Go" button opens the campaign wizard.
  8. "Autopilot enabled (optional)"

The list disappears once the first seven steps are done.

Each step has a "Go" button. A step can show a hint, for example:

  • "Target created but still a draft: confirm it so it can be used."
  • "Profile saved but empty: describe your business or your value proposition."
  • "no saved people search yet": Autopilot needs a saved search.

The list also shows the end date of your trial.

Connect LinkedIn

The platform acts on LinkedIn through your account. Without a connected account, you can browse, but you cannot search, read a profile or contact anyone.

Connect or reconnect

  1. Open "My profile", "Social networks" section.
  2. Click "Connect LinkedIn". The connection opens in a new tab.
  3. Once connected, the screen shows "Connected account:" followed by your name.

If LinkedIn disconnects you, the platform shows "Channel disconnected". Reading continues, sending is suspended. Click "Reconnect LinkedIn".

"Disconnect" suspends sending. Conversations already received remain readable. The account stays connected at the connection provider: you can resume it without setting everything up again.

Standard, Premium or Sales Navigator

The platform works with all three account types. The account type changes what you can do:

Standard accountPremiumSales Navigator
Invitations per day (automatic setting)152525
Maximum length of an invitation note200 characters300 characters300 characters
Sales Navigator searchNoNoYes
Search lines per day1,0001,0002,500
Profile reads per day (absolute cap)100100200

For the platform to recognize Premium or Sales Navigator:

  1. Open "My profile", "Social networks" section.
  2. In "My LinkedIn account", click "Refresh".
  3. The "Premium" or "Sales Navigator" badges appear. The "Daily budgets" adjust to the account type.

As long as the account has never been refreshed, the platform treats it as a standard account.

The Sales Navigator session can expire while the LinkedIn account remains valid. The screen then shows "Sales Navigator session expired". Reconnect LinkedIn, or search in Classic mode in the meantime.

Daily budgets

The "Daily budgets" block shows the account's caps: "Invitations", "Messages" and "Invitation with message". The "Adjust" button lets you change them.

  • Lowering the invitation cap always takes effect. Raising it above 25 per day has no effect.
  • The message cap is 80 per day by default. You can raise or lower it. LinkedIn does not publish an official threshold: change it with care.

The other limits are described in Limits and security.

The trial period

A new workspace starts on the Essai (trial) plan:

  • the trial lasts 7 days, from the creation of the workspace;
  • it includes 2,000 credits;
  • it allows 100 prospect evaluations per day;
  • it does not require a card.

The "Get started" list shows "Your trial runs until" followed by the date. Before the end, subscribe to a plan on the "Subscription" screen. If you subscribe during the trial, your card is charged at the end of the trial. If no plan is subscribed, the workspace is locked on the eighth day. The chapter Credits and subscription describes the plans, the payment and what remains possible while the workspace is locked.
