Autopilot

Autopilot fills your database every night. It draws new profiles from the reserve of a saved search, imports them and evaluates them against a Target. You set the maximum number of profiles per night; the cost per night is known before you arm it.

What Autopilot does every night

  1. Autopilot draws profiles from the reserve of its saved search.
  2. It sets aside, at no cost, the profiles already in your contacts.
  3. It imports the new profiles into "My database".
  4. It evaluates them against the piloted Target.
  5. It stops when it has imported and evaluated N profiles, or earlier if a limit is reached.

N is the maximum number of profiles imported and evaluated per night. It is not a number of qualified prospects. The number of qualified prospects depends on the Target and the search. The platform never promises it.

At night, Autopilot does not call LinkedIn. It only reads the reserve, which is built during the day.

One Autopilot per workspace: arming Autopilot on one Target disarms it on the other.

Before arming

You need:

  • a Target, preferably confirmed. See Targets and qualification.
  • a saved people search. Autopilot replays this search to fill its reserve. A Target contains no search criteria: Autopilot cannot invent them. A company search is refused, because Autopilot evaluates people. See Prospects.
  • a plan that allows daily evaluations. Otherwise, the screen shows "Your current plan includes no daily evaluation — Autopilot would have nothing to qualify."
  • a connected LinkedIn account, to fill the reserve.

Arm Autopilot

From the "Targets" screen

  1. Open the Target's menu, then click "Set up Autopilot".
  2. Check "Arm Autopilot on this target".
  3. In "Search replayed", choose a saved people search.
  4. In "Leads imported per night (maximum)", enter a number between 1 and 100.
  5. Read the cost line, for example: "Up to 20 profiles imported and evaluated per night, i.e. 40 credits at most."
  6. Click "Save".

The Target then shows the badge "Autopilot · up to N/night" and "Piloted search: “…”".

From the setup assistant

At the "Who do you sell to?" step, after saving a search, click "Set up Autopilot". See Getting started.

From the assistant

In the assistant's "Search" tab:

Arm Autopilot on my Target "Retail CIOs" with 20 profiles per night.

The assistant checks your plan, then shows an "Approval required" card. The card shows the Target, the cap per night, the nights the reserve will last and the maximum cost per night. These figures are read by the platform. Autopilot is armed only after you click "Approve". See The assistant.

The "Autopilot can use up your whole daily quota" alert

Autopilot goes first in the night's evaluation queue. If N is close to your plan's daily cap, your other evaluations (imports, manual evaluations) may no longer get their turn. The screen warns you. You can arm anyway, or lower N.

The profile reserve

The reserve is a stock of profiles drawn from the saved search. It lets Autopilot work at night without calling LinkedIn.

  • Filling starts shortly after arming, then takes place during the day, in the background and in small pages.
  • The reserve aims for 500 profiles. It is only refilled when it drops below 100 profiles.
  • Each refill uses the LinkedIn account's search lines (1,000 per day with Classic, 2,500 with Sales Navigator). It costs no credits.

The "Targets" screen shows the state of the reserve:

MessageMeaning
"Building the reserve…"The first fill is in progress.
"… profiles in reserve · at least … nights of runway"The number of nights is a minimum: reserve divided by N.
"The search is exhausted: nothing left to add to the reserve."Autopilot will finish the reserve and then go on standby.
"Your search “…” is exhausted — widen it"The reserve is empty and the search returns nothing more. Autopilot is on standby and uses nothing.

In the last case, click "Widen the search" to change its filters.

In the assistant, ask: "How many nights does my profile reserve last?"

What Autopilot costs

  • Each profile evaluated costs 2 credits.
  • A profile already in your contacts is set aside at no cost.
  • The maximum cost per night is therefore 2 × N credits.
  • Arming or disarming costs nothing.
  • Filling the reserve costs no credits. It uses LinkedIn search lines.
N (profiles per night)Maximum cost per nightMaximum cost over 30 nights
1020 credits600 credits
2040 credits1,200 credits
50100 credits3,000 credits
100200 credits6,000 credits

Autopilot's evaluations count against your plan's daily cap (100, 250 or 500 per day). See Credits and subscription.

Follow Autopilot's nights

The "Autopilot — last night" block appears on the "Dashboard" and on the "Targets" screen. It shows:

  • "Drawn from reserve": the profiles read from the reserve;
  • "Profiles created": the new prospects;
  • "Already on file": the profiles set aside at no cost;
  • the summary "… qualified out of … evaluated".

It also shows why Autopilot stopped:

MessageMeaning
"Stopped: the cap on profiles imported and evaluated was reached."N is reached.
"Stopped: your plan's daily evaluation cap was reached."The plan's cap is reached.
"Stopped: reserve exhausted, it had no more profiles to evaluate. A refill has been requested."The reserve will be filled during the day.
"Stopped: reserve empty and search exhausted."The search must be widened.
"Stopped: your workspace is locked."The trial or the subscription has ended. See Credits and subscription.

"History" opens "Autopilot nights": what Autopilot did and cost, night after night. "See the … new people" opens the list of prospects added on a given night.

If the imported profiles match the Target poorly, the "Few leads imported by the Autopilot match its target" banner offers an AI review of the Target and the search. See Targets and qualification.

Get qualified prospects into a campaign

Autopilot evaluates prospects. It does not put them into a campaign itself. For a campaign to receive the qualified prospects every night:

  1. Open the campaign on the "Campaigns" screen.
  2. Attach the piloted Target to it.
  3. In "Automatic admission", turn on "Automatically add qualified leads from the Target".
  4. Set the "Minimum score" if you want a higher threshold than the Target's. Default: "Fits the Target".
  5. Click "Save".

Every night, after qualification, the prospects that fit the Target enter the campaign's queue. The sending pace and the approval remain those of the campaign. Prospects already qualified before the setting was turned on are not added.

In the assistant's "Campaigns" tab, ask: "Turn on automatic adding of qualified leads from the Target "…" on the campaign "…"". The campaign stays a draft and nothing is sent. See Campaigns.

Disarm or change Autopilot

  • Change: Target menu, "Edit Autopilot". Change the search or N, then "Save".
  • Disarm: uncheck "Arm Autopilot on this target", then "Save". Disarming does not delete the reserve: it belongs to the search. If you arm again later on the same search, you get it back.
  • Deleting the piloted search disarms Autopilot. The screen warns you first.
  • Archiving the piloted Target prevents arming Autopilot on it until it is restored.
